From post office to trendy restaurant

Since a few months, the famous vegetarian restaurant Hiltl has opened a new location at Sihlpost in Zurich.

For the occasion, the former post office next to Zurich main station has been transformed into a stunning space mixing industrial feel and trendy vibes.

During the makeover, the architects Oberholzer & Brüschweiler have kept some details of the post building to integrate them into the new interior and cleverly re-invented them. The counters are original pieces from 1930s and the old postal boxes are now equipped with plugs so that you can recharge your smartphones. Also collaborating with Ushi Tamborriello, the renovation of this historical place has been successfully designed to create a unique ambiance.

While travellers can grab fresh and tasty snacks-to-go, it’s worth taking the time to sit down and enjoy a lunch or dinner on site. In the friendly atmosphere, you can compose your plate at the large buffet and then savour your meal, cosily installed in the lounge corner.

May it be for coffee or cocktails, brunch or dinner, there is something for every taste, always healthy, always delicious. During the sunny days, enjoy your break on the terrace.
