Fall 2017 interior trends
As the air cools down and the leaves turn yellow, it’s time to seek warmth inside. The interiors are getting their fall makeover, becoming thus the cosy nests we’ll spend all winter in.
Here are the 5 interior trends spotted last month at the Formex Fair in Stockholm.
TERRACOTTA TONES
From pink nuances to dark orange shades, warm tones take over the current cool and all-white spaces. If terracotta hues have been around for a couple of seasons, it now spreads to walls, tiles and home accessories, in small and subtle touches or in a bold tone-on-tone. Get your paint brushes ready!

LUXURIOUS VELVET
To enjoy the long winter nights, nothing is more soothing than velvet! However, avoid the total look. Indeed, the luxurious fabric harmoniously combines with rough textures as woven baskets or natural fiber rugs for an interesting visual contrast. Among the rich seasonal colour scheme, look out for midnight blue or forest green, that may be highlighted with a hint of soft pink or bright yellow.

CERAMIC TABLEWARE
For a friendly gathering or a family dinner, ceramics bring an authentic touch and a sense of uniqueness to the table setting. In a back to basics spirit, neutral colour palette and clean lines mix best with this natural material. Add some flowers, and you are ready to get the party started.

RATTAN & WOVEN TEXTURES
Knitted or woven, 2017 home collections pay tribute to the art of craftsmanship. During the cold-weather months, woven wall-hangings, wicker baskets and lamps warm up the atmosphere. Moreover, rattan chairs and furniture find a place inside, extending thus the outdoor season. Don’t forget the furry pillow and knitted blankets to create a comfortable cocoon!

FOLK SPIRIT
Folk patterns, tribal sculptures, rustic wooden furniture, it is all about mixing the cultural influences and ethnic references in a subtle way. An ode to the authentic that invites you into an adventurous world. Boho vibes guaranteed!
