Room Capacity Berlin, a collector’s passion

Located in Berlin Mitte, the gallery room capacity showcases a unique selection of rare furniture and contemporary artworks, all carefully chosen by Jörn Kuschinsky, native Berliner, and Thomas Storai, from Paris.

Collectors by nature, both founders have gathered an eclectic, yet very tasteful collection of decorative design items. Collaborating with young designers, emerging interior studios as well as international artists, they are looking for the story in each furniture and artworks that they present in the gallery.

From different decades and diverse styles, unique vintage finds and design classics harmoniously mix with the contemporary artistic creation. In the gallery, the German talent Bastian Thürich reveals his colourful stools and an elegant desk made of wood and leather, while the Polish interior design studio Loft Kolasinki presents a part of its beautiful collection marked by minimalist and refined aesthetics.

Sometimes, Jörn and Thomas also exhibit their own creations. Indeed, recently it’s an old stool from the former East Germany that has been turned into an elegant marble coffee table. They also keep a special place in the spotlight for Bernhard Zarneckow’s inventions, vintage heaters converted into loudspeakers.

Many artworks dress up the gallery walls! The illustrative work of German artist Tina Berning as well as the yoga serie by Chilean visual artist Paula Anguita and the impressive paper work of Alice van Maltzahn are to be discovered. The gallery has also annonced a new collaboration with French artist Guillaume Airiaud and Street artist El Bocho.
