Unveiled last June during 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, the Dream View Bench was created by the sea, where Danish designer Lise Vester began the design process by mapping the natural curve of her own posture in the sand. Working from the belief that sensory design can increase our well-being, she offers a fresh take on the bench design with this unique, sculptural form that reflects the natural beauty of the human shape.
Inviting to slow down and to take a moment of reflection, the Dream View Bench seamlessly integrates into everyday life, encouraging new routines.
“The sky remains ever-present – limitless and available to most, as long as we remember to look up. When we do, natural daylight, shifting colours, the moon, passing clouds, and birds suddenly feel within reach. This beauty – and these small moments of appreciation – are often overlooked in the rush of daily life. I wanted to create a design that draws the viewer’s gaze upward, curating moments of focus and daydreaming while gazing,” Lise Vester explains.
