Blending into the gentle topology of the region, the imposing six-storey building features a zigzagging vegetal path leading down to the valley. In this refined setting, all rooms are facing the Risoud forest. The breathtaking panorama calls us to slow down, contemplate and connect with the peaceful rhythm of nature. Each season captures a different ambiance, from snow-capped peaks to shimmering colours.
At the Hôtel des Horlogers, everything is designed to blur the boundaries between build and natural spaces, both outdoors and indoors. Combining the minimalism of concrete with the warmth of wood, the interior imagined by AU*M Pierre Minassian echoes the surrounding vegetation in a poetic way. A sleek continuous corridor leads to the rooms, both restaurants and the spa, with regular openings onto the landscape. In the bar, the large rock-like ceiling lights recall the organic shape of the nearby lake’s depths.
In this exceptional destination, far from the urban hustle and bustle, luxury lies in moments of contemplation, nature exploration, soothing wellness treatments, and delicious culinary experiences, all celebrating the very essence of life.
Awarded for its eco-friendly approach, this boutique hotel has been designed to minimise its environmental footprint, from its choice of materials and local approach to the use of solar energy. It also promotes a much-appreciated zero plastic policy.
A few steps from the hotel, the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet, with its iconic glass spiral also conceived by BIG in collaboration with CCHE, showcases the art of watchmaking, offering a glimpse behind the scenes of the precious Swiss craftsmanship.
