Trained in interior architecture and in industrial design, Aurélie Chèvre dresses interiors with a bold style down to the smallest detail. From industrial design, she retains a functional rigour as well as a meticulous work on materiality and ergonomics that enrich her approach to architecture. To conceive a space and bring it to life, she broadens the scale, thinking of it as a gesture, a mechanism that comes alive when the interior is inhabited. Through well-designed lighting and carefully defined circulation, she strives to create a spatial emotion, a staging of everyday life that is as pleasant and comfortable as it is aesthetic.
Passionate about fashion since childhood, Aurélie Chèvre is interested, beyond temporary trends, in the story that a garment tells, its relationship to the body, the movement, and the time in which it belongs. Composing a look means giving it a rhythm, finding the right balance between form, material and texture, a skilful blend that also applies to the design of spaces. Like the collections of Schiaparelli or Saint Laurent, whose silhouettes give the body a sculptural allure, architecture sculpts an interior and gives its inhabitants a certain gesture, a way of moving and living within the space.
Convinced that every interior should reflect the identity and style of those who live there, Aurélie Chèvre opens a dialogue between the intimate and the structural, the sensory and the concrete, to create an atmosphere of well-being. With a keen eye for the proportions of each volume and the flow of movement, she subtly combines materials and textures – including many textiles – to give each space a tactile and sensory dimension, always infusing it with a timeless feel. Unlike a look, an interior must stand the test of time.
She encourages bold colour combinations and mixes of materials to create a more intuitive harmony, and give interiors a vibrant personality. The home has become a means of personal expression that reflects not only one’s individual style, but also one’s art of living.
From residential projects to professional and retail spaces, her personal approach to interior architecture resonates in the world of luxury. Building on her work experience at Louis Vuitton in Paris, Aurélie Chèvre emphasises the importance of creating a coherent universe, from the object to the experience. Whether in boutiques, pop-up stores or stands, physical space gives the brand an additional sensory dimension where its values are subtly reflected in every detail, in an almost invisible yet very perceptible way, to create memorable experiences.
