Le Clay x Design Days

For a soothing and enriching experience made of wellness, fine dining, culture and even ceramic workshops, the new hotel Le Clay will open its doors in the heart of the Lavaux vineyards next spring. A member of Design Hotels™, this exceptional setting invites us to slow down and savour every moment.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Lavaux region and its vineyard terraces, listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, Le Clay covers 35 hectares. Echoing this exceptional setting, its interior features natural materials and warm hues to create a serene ambiance. A spa and a wide range of sports facilities, as well as culinary experiences, a library and ceramic workshops – everything is designed to let us unwind, breathe deeper and live the moment to the fullest.

With design at heart, Le Clay has launched, in collaboration with Design Days 2026, a call for projects to create ceramic pieces. Beautifully crafted, the four selected projects by Coline Peltier, GUS Studio, Tomas Kral and Left & Right will dress the hotel’s rooms and lobby.

K A M I by Coline Peltier

Inspired by the Japanese Shintō tradition, this sculptural piece highlights the interplay between the void and the matter. The poetic interstice lets the light shine through, creating a soothing and contemplative atmosphere.

HALO by GUS Studio

With an organic feel, this fruit platter catches subtle glints of light on its delicate texture. Combining functionality with a sensitive approach to craftsmanship, it brightens up the table with an understated, yet striking presence.

STREAM by Tomas Kral

Standing tall on the table, the slender silhouette of this water carafe perfectly supports the movement of serving in a fluid manner. Crafted from ceramic, the two pieces come together in an elegant dance.

BOUQUET by Left & Right

Its name recalls both the floral arrangements and the world of wine. This versatile collection of ceramic vases with  differents hues and sizes, held together by a knotted leather cord, adapts to different spaces.
